Sustainability and responsibility at NiZED

A little better with every push

Why do we strive to be better?

Sustainability is important for our customers, our team and of course for our planet. We are also aware that there is no quick fix to the sustainability challenges in the fashion industry. If you want to learn more about our efforts, take a look at our sustainability timeline.

To make it easier to communicate about our brand's sustainability efforts, we've also created this blog for you.

At NiZED, our goal is to make on-demand manufacturing the norm for a planet with finite resources and people with infinite ideas. It's an ambitious goal, so let's take it one step at a time.

Processing on request

Every purchase, big or small, leaves a footprint. You decide how big the footprint you leave on our planet, and we want to help you make a smart choice. One in five pieces of clothing ends up in a landfill without even being worn once. When you choose print-on-demand, you choose clothes that are created when you order, which means less fabric waste than traditional manufacturing.

packaging waste

As of May 2021, we use recycled plastic packaging for all apparel orders shipped from our own facilities. We made this choice to minimize our impact on the environment, as recycled materials save new resources and require less energy to manufacture. Additionally, we are gradually transitioning to 90% to 100% recycled plastic packaging across North America. We have reduced the use of packaging overall and introduced triangular parcel boxes for poster orders, replacing the tubes with plastic caps.

Manufacture products only when they are needed

Reliable quality

The better the quality, the longer the product will last. Before we launch new products, we conduct tests to ensure they stand the test of time. We work with suppliers who produce high quality products that will stand up to many washes while keeping the print colors vibrant and the fabric soft.

To make our product sourcing more transparent, this year we added a Provenance tab to every product in our catalogue, where you can find information about the manufacturer and country of origin of each item.

Eco-friendly products

This product range grows with the needs of our customers. In 2024, 20 products will be added, and we plan to launch more eco-friendly products. Customers will soon be able to choose from a range of materials such as organic cotton, recycled cotton, recycled polyester, recycled nylon and organic and recycled blends.
